Description
Lugana Selva represents one of the most distinctive expressions of Podere Selva Capuzza, made from Turbiana grapes from the estate's most representative vineyard. This cru comes from a hilly parcel rich in stone and clay, located between 110 and 125 meters in altitude, which contributes to impart complexity and character to the wine.
After manual harvesting in crates, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is carefully cooled and clarified. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. The wine rests in the cellar for several months before being bottled in the spring, maintaining the varietal freshness intact and enhancing the mineral characteristics of the soil.
On the nose, it expresses itself with austere and refined notes where minerality intertwines with hints of citrus, cedar, and apple. The sip is full and structured, with excellent persistence that highlights the mineral component and solid body, offering a complex and balanced flavor profile.
It pairs with more structured preparations such as rabbit or chicken, red meat tartare, sea fish, and flavorful first courses.
