Description
Molino Real by Telmo Rodríguez is a natural sweet wine from the historic winegrowing area of Málaga, made exclusively from Moscatel de Alejandría grapes grown in the hillside vineyards around the village of Cómpeta. The grapes, handpicked and harvested in small crates, come from old bush vines located in traditional parcels such as Malacapa, Ventarral, Cerro Gourman, and Alto la Zorra. After harvest, the bunches are naturally dried in "paseros" before vinification, in a process that enhances the sugar and aromatic concentration of the grapes.
The winemaking is artisanal: the dried bunches are pressed and the small amount of must obtained ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, naturally coming to a stop. The wine then matures for 10 months in stainless steel tanks, a refinement aimed at preserving the aromatic integrity and freshness of the fruit without the influence of wood.
MR presents with intense aromas of candied fruit, orange peel, honey, and orange blossom. On the palate, it is rich, but balanced by a lively acidity that provides tension and prolongs the gustatory persistence, with a harmonious and velvety closure.
Perfect when paired with blue cheeses, foie gras, or desserts based on dried fruits and citrus.
