Description

What type of wine is it?

Maremma Toscana Ciliegiolo Rosato Tenuta Aquilaia is a Tuscan rosé made exclusively from Ciliegiolo grapes. This wine offers a fresh and delicate profile, with a lean yet balanced structure and immediate drinkability. The winemaking process includes gentle pressing and low-temperature fermentation, with aging in stainless steel to preserve its fragrance and aromatic precision.

Where does it come from?

This rosé comes from the Maremma region in Tuscany, an area with a long-standing tradition of viticulture dating back to the time of the Etruscans. Its origin is highlighted by the Maremma Toscana designation, emphasizing the bond with the land and the choice to offer Ciliegiolo in a rosé version. The style focuses on cleanness, finesse, and smoothness.

How is it produced?

The grapes are picked and undergo a gentle pressing; the must is clarified by flotation. Alcoholic fermentation starts right away and takes place at a low temperature, around 14°C, to preserve the most delicate aromas. The wine matures in stainless steel tanks for four months, maintaining a clear and fresh flavor profile.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a pale and bright rosé color. On the nose, it is refined, with floral notes and hints of red fruit. The palate reveals a pleasant minerality, with a lean yet balanced structure and a fresh, fruity finish that leaves a sense of purity and liveliness.

Food pairings

It pairs well with fish starters, shellfish, and seafood, where its freshness complements the delicacy of the dishes. It's also suitable for white meats in light recipes, thanks to its measured structure and clean finish. It fits perfectly at the table when you want a rosé that is smooth and precise.

When to serve

It's recommended when you desire a fresh rosé with excellent drinkability, ideal both as an aperitif and alongside a meal of fish or white meat. It shines when you're seeking lightness and a clean flavor, bringing out its floral and red fruit notes. Serving it with an emphasis on freshness enhances its brightness and fruity finish.
