Description

This Shiraz comes to light from the first vineyard purchased by the Shirvington family in McLaren Vale in 1996: the Redwind vineyard, characterized by fertile red earth soils that ensure excellent drainage and favorable winds to the plants, in an almost Mediterranean climate, with rainy winters and warm, mild summers. It is the result of 14 months of aging in American oak barrels, 80% new.

It is characterized by a dark and deep ruby red color with a purple rim. Fragrant aromas of blueberry and morello cherry rise to the nose, blending with hints of violets, cocoa and spices. The taste is dense and structured, juicy, with a fine and velvety tannin and references to toasted spices and brioche.

Magnificent with casserole roast and ratatouille. Try it in the company of a leg of lamb.
