Description
What kind of wine is it
Méditerranée Blanc La Croix by Château Peyrassol is a white wine from Provence made mainly from Rolle with a small percentage of Ugni Blanc. It features an aromatic freshness and a clear expression of fruit, thanks to temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel and a short maturation that maintains its lively and balanced profile.
Where does it come from
The grapes come from Provence, in southern France, in the Méditerranée area. Château Peyrassol farms according to organic principles and carefully selects the best terroirs, sharing farming methods with partner winegrowers to achieve a consistent and distinctive style in line with the local identity.
How is it made
Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, a choice that helps preserve aromatic freshness. This is followed by a short maturation, again in steel, with time spent on the fine lees, which supports palate continuity without altering the fruit expression.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it is brilliant, with a yellow colour and subtle golden highlights. The nose reveals floral notes and hints of fresh grapes. On the palate, the freshness shows finesse and accompanies a clean finish, where citrus nuances return.
Food pairings
At the table, it pairs well with dishes where precision and energy matter: it pairs nicely with citrus sea bass ceviche, a fresh goat cheese salad with grapes and walnuts, and seared scallops with celery cream, where its freshness highlights marine sensations and the citrus finish stands out.
When to serve it
It's ideal when you're looking for a straightforward, well-defined white wine, perfect for an aperitif or a seafood lunch. Served chilled, around 8–10 °C, it enhances the floral aromas and citrus hints; a brief aeration in the glass can further bring out the fruity component. Enjoy it young to make the most of its liveliness.
