Description

The fortified Merlino Rosso Fortified wine from Pojer and Sandri comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Faedo, in the province of Trento.

It is produced exclusively with Lagrein grapes, manually harvested in late ripening crates and placed in cold rooms to lower the temperature. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, filled entirely by gravity, at a controlled temperature and interrupted once 4-5 ° alcoholic degrees are reached by adding brandy aged more than 10 years. After the gradation is brought by mixing with the distillate around 20 °, the fortified wine is placed in ex-brandy oak barrels.

The Fortified Red Merlin of Pojer and Sandri has a very intense purple red color. The nose opens with intense varietal aromas reminiscent of cherry, morello cherry, blackberry and black currant, enriched with hints of vanilla, cocoa and coffee. On the palate it is warm and sweet, very structured and harmonious.

Perfect to accompany sweets with chocolate or coffee, it is ideal to serve on strawberries.
