Description
The Meursault 1er Cru Les Poruzots is a white wine produced by Domaine François Mikulski from a 62-are plot farmed since 1992 on a métayage basis, located on the eastern slope of the Meursault hill. The vines, about fifty years old, are composed exclusively of Chardonnay and are grown according to non-certified organic practices.
The soil consists of a horizontal layer of brown silt about 30 cm thick on a bedrock of fractured rock. This allows the development of deep roots thanks to the silt's ability to retain moisture, giving the wine a distinctive mineral structure. Aging takes place in oak barrels, only 20% of which are new, while the rest have hosted one, two, or three previous wines, to preserve the identity of the cru.
This wine stands out for its elegance and finesse, with a dynamic personality and a seductive minerality. On the nose, it expresses delicacy, while on the palate it offers balance, freshness, and a refined texture that defines its more "feminine" style compared to other Premier Crus from the area.
Perfect with dishes based on shellfish or baked fish with light sauces.
