Description

What kind of wine is it

Meursault Rosso Coche-Dury is a red wine made from Pinot Noir produced in Burgundy, in the Côte de Beaune, in Meursault. It offers an elegant and complex style, with a defined structure and precise freshness. The winemaking process involves fermentation for about twelve days and aging in barrique, including both new and second-use barrels, designed to integrate the fruit without overpowering it.

Where it comes from

It originates in Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune, in the southern part of the Côte d’Or in Burgundy. The grapes come from two small plots of 0.12 and 0.25 hectares, planted in the 1980s. The terroir is characterized by soils rich in clay and limestone, a combination that influences the structure and profile of the wine, while maintaining a well-defined line of freshness.

How it is made

Production follows traditional methods with constant care at every stage. The Pinot Noir ferments for about twelve days, with a process that preserves the integrity of the grapes and the varietal expression. Aging takes place in both new and second-use barriques, used judiciously to offer measured toasted and spicy notes, supporting the overall balance.

Tasting notes

It appears a deep and intense red to the eye. The nose offers complex aromas of ripe red fruits, floral and spicy notes, with a lightly toasted hint. With time, more earthy hints and a mineral trace may emerge. On the palate it is precise, with silky, well-integrated tannins, vibrant freshness and a long, consistent persistence.

Food pairings

It pairs well with important dishes, particularly game birds. The tannins structure and the refreshing palate support defined-flavored preparations, while the spicy and lightly toasted notes go well with cooking methods and sauces in which the aromatic component remains balanced.

When to serve it

It's ideal when you desire an elegant yet structured red, capable of expressing complexity without excess. Served calmly, it progressively reveals fruit, spice, and earthy notes, highlighting the precision of the Pinot Noir and the integration of the wood. Perfect for an important table and moments when aromatic detail matters most.
