Description
Produced from a 1.5-hectare vineyard located in Meursault, Les Grands Charrons by Michel Bouzereau & Fils is born on clay-limestone soils, with limestone prevailing in the upper part and a more alluvial character in the lower area. The vines, planted between 1951 and 1992, are located in an area recognized for its ability to express Chardonnay of great refinement and longevity, typical of the Côte de Beaune.
The vinification takes place in oak barrels for one year, with a proportion of 20% new wood, followed by aging in tanks for 2 to 4 months. This approach allows for a perfect balance between structure and freshness, enhancing the character of the terroir without masking it.
The wine has a clear golden yellow color. The olfactory profile is refined, with notes of white-fleshed fruit, citrus, wild flowers and light toasted nuances. In the mouth it is full, elegant and mineral, with a persistent and harmonious finish that expresses the purity of the Burgundian Chardonnay.
Ideal with shellfish dishes, seafood risottos or white meats in light sauces.
