Description
The Meursault Limozin is a Chardonnay produced by Domaine François Mikulski from a plot of only 0.15 hectares cultivated under uncertified organic farming. The vines, with an average age of 65 years, are located in a particularly suitable area of Meursault, from which a refined wine with very limited production originates.
The soil consists of fine alluvial sediments, less rich in limestone compared to other areas of the appellation, but heavier and more draining. This composition favors balanced plant growth and contributes to a fuller and rounder style. The wine is vinified and aged separately only in certain years, depending on the characteristics of the harvest.
On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of honey, ripe yellow fruit, exotic fruit, hazelnut, and toasted almond, accompanied by a buttery note typical of the Meursault style. On the palate, it is broad and silky, with a hint of minerality that provides balance and verve to a rich and deep sip.
Perfect with scallops, warm oysters, or white meats in creamy sauce.
