Description
The Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru from Michel Bouzereau & Fils is an elegant white Burgundy wine produced from Chardonnay grapes grown on a 0.54-hectare plot, located in one of the most renowned areas of the village of Meursault. The vines, planted in 1988, are on clay-limestone soils with a high presence of white clay, contributing to the wine's structure and minerality.
Vinification follows traditional practices with aging for 16 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new. This lengthy élevage period allows the wine to develop remarkable aromatic complexity, ensuring balance and finesse thanks to careful wood management.
On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of ripe white fruit, citrus notes, and subtle hints of vanilla and hazelnut. On the palate, it is broad and round, with a beautiful acidity, creamy texture, and a long, savory finish that reflects the identity of the Blagny terroir.
Perfect as an accompaniment to refined fish dishes, shellfish, or white meats with light sauces.
