Description

The Pinot Grigio porer from Alois Lageder is made from Pinot Grigio grapes grown following Demeter-certified biodynamic principles, in vineyards located between Magrè and Salorno on sandy, stony, and highly calcareous soils.

Vinification takes place through spontaneous fermentation, partly in stainless steel and partly in wooden barrels, followed by aging on fine lees; different components of the wine are processed using distinct approaches, including maceration with skins, stems, and skins, to enhance complexity and expressive depth.

It shows a straw yellow color with reddish highlights, and subtle yet well-defined aromas of melon, peach, spices, and mineral notes; on the palate, it is full-bodied, lively, fresh, fruity, and dry.

It pairs well with appetizers, terrines, pâtés, ham, cured meats, fish, shellfish, white meats, and poultry.
