Monferrato DOC Rosso Monterovere 2011 Sant'Agata
Description
The Monferrato Rosso Monterovere of Cantine Sant'Agata is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the extraordinary Piedmontese wine panorama. Cantine Sant'Agata wines are the perfect expression of the native vines of Piedmont.
It is produced with Barbera, Nebbiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. After a soft pressing, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C for about 14-16 days, with daily punching down. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 18 months before being bottled.
It is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with a large fruity bouquet, enriched with delicate vanilla notes. On the palate it has a fine and smooth structure, pleasantly enveloping and with a subtle sweetness.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with grilled red meats, game and roasts.
