Montecristo, the Belgian Strong Dark Ale by Bosteels

Montecristo is produced by the Bosteels brewery, which takes its name from the family to which it has belonged for more than 200 years. The brewery is located in Buggenhout, East Flanders.

How Montecristo is produced

Only the best ingredients contribute to the production of Bosteels beers, starting from the water that comes from 100 meters deep and from the barley that has reached the optimal maturation. This top fermented Belgian Strong Dark Ale is aged for 11 weeks in oak barrels that contained sherry.

Sight, nose, eye and palate

Dark red in color, its taste is full-bodied, complex and refined and reveals vinous, nutty, chocolate and spice notes.

What do you combine the Montecristo with?

This Belgian Strong Dark Ale goes well with pasta with meat sauce or lasagna with meat sauce.
