Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 2010 Adanti
Description
Adanti's Sagrantino is produced from various vineyard parcels located in the province of Perugia, in Umbria. Two of them are located in the municipality of Bevagna, while the third one in Montefalco.
The vineyards from which the grapes are extracted - 100% Sagrantino - are defined by a mainly clayey-calcareous soil. The harvest takes place manually during the first half of October. The maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place inside stainless steel tanks; it follows an aging in 30 hl oak barrels and in tonneaux, for a total period of 30 months. Another 24 months of bottle aging complete the winemaking process.
It has a deep ruby red color in the glass. The nose is made up of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, licorice, spices and a graphite note. In the mouth the good body supports an important tannic texture, perfectly integrated with the rest and still evolving.
Ideal as an accompaniment to a lamb with aromatic herbs.
