Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2018
Description
This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from the Fantini Farnese house is made from only Montepulciano grapes harvested in the municipalities of Ortona, San Salvo and Pollutri.
Immediately after the harvest the grapes are subjected to a soft destemming, followed by fermentation with maceration on the skins for 15 days. Before being released, he spends 3 months of aging in wooden barrels.
It has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. Intense notes of red fruits stand out on the nose, with a clear predominance of red fruits, morello cherry and plum, accompanied by light vanilla notes. In the mouth it shows a full-bodied and balanced wine, with a perfectly integrated tannin and a persistent finish.
It goes well with all traditional first and second courses of Italian cuisine.
