Montescudaio DOC Campordigno Merlot 2015 Marchesi Ginori Lisci

The Montescudaio Campordigno Merlot of the Marquis Ginori Lisci was born in vineyards, organically run, located in the Pisan municipality of Montescudaio, in the heart of the Upper Maremma.

It is produced entirely with Merlot grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand in mid-September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C, for 20 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in French oak, wood and steel barriques for 12 months, and for a further 12 months in bottle before being released onto the market.

This Ginori Lisci Merlot has a purple, intense and brilliant ruby red color. The nose opens with a large and harmonious bouquet of cherry jam, black currant and red flowers, enriched with notes of vanilla and boisè. In the mouth it proves decisive and enveloping, with good tannins.

Perfect for accompanying first courses, in particular tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, it is ideal in combination with cured meats and medium-aged cheeses such as Pecorino.
