Morey-Saint-Denis AOC 2015 Domaine des Lambrays

Morey St. Denis is an expression of Pinot Noir from Morey St. Denis signed by the famous Domaine des Lambrays.

Pinot Noir is the absolute protagonist here. The grapes are harvested with extreme care, strictly by hand. Following alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages in French oak barrels, of which 25% new, until bottling, followed by a further year of aging in bottle.

At sight it is ruby red. The perfume is outlined in the fruity notes of blackberry, blueberry and black currant, with an articulated background reminiscent of chocolate, now wood, to close in an elegant spicy scent. On the palate it is medium bodied, with velvety tannins integrated with freshness.

Ideal throughout the meal, it is perfect in the company of red meats and noble poultry, or aged cheeses.
