Description
Jean Foillard Classique comes from the French region of Beaujolais, famous for giving recognizable reds with a fruity and fragrant trait.
It consists of pure Gamay grapes, grown according to an organic farming system. The bunches are selected and collected by hand. Once transported to the cellar, they undergo carbon maceration and subsequent fermentation by the action of indigenous yeasts. A refinement of 4-5 months in used wooden barrels precedes the bottling, carried out without filtration.
At sight its color is intense ruby red. The scent is clearly fruity in flavors of cherry, fermenting must and wild strawberry, placed on a spicy background. In the mouth it is excellently balanced in its components and is supported by a full body. It closes in a fruity persistence. The big drink is its strong point.
Perfect to accompany a cutting board of fresh French cheeses.
