Neusiedlersee DAC Opitz One 2000 Willi Opitz
Description
Famous Austrian schilfwein produced exclusively from indigenous Zweigelt grapes, left to dry for 5 months on straw mats, subjected to the wind which guarantees perfect aeration of the bunches. The yield is very low in favor of higher quality, even lower than that achieved by the well-known Château d'Yquem.
It appears at the sight of an intense amber color with ruby reflections. The nose reveals notes of strawberry that mix in perfect harmony with hints of sultanas and hints of dog rose. The palate is soft and velvety, with well-polished tannins, with a slight mineral and honey touch in the final stages.
Delicious in combination with blue cheeses. Try it with a plum chutney.
