Description

Salvatore Murana's Passito di Pantelleria Mueggen comes from the homonymous vineyard located on the sunny terraces of the island of Pantelleria.

It is produced exclusively with Moscato d'Alessandria grapes - local name for the Zibibbo grape - harvested and selected in August, then left to dry in the sun on stone drying racks placed in the vineyard for 10-12 days, which are turned upside down by hand many times. After a soft pressing, the must ferments at a controlled temperature of 25-28 ° C leading to the evolution of the patrimony of sugar and natural aromatic substances which are concentrated in the berry. Subsequently the wine ages for about 24-32 months in steel tanks.

It has an amber orange color. The nose releases intense notes of orange and lemon, enriched with notes of cooked apple and aromatic herbs reminiscent of oregano and rosemary. The taste is sweet and broad, with a pleasant bitter note in the finish.

Excellent to accompany any type of desser, it goes well with aged cheeses.
