Description
The Pomerol of Château La Création is a red wine resulting from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grapes come from vineyards that are about 45 years old, located on a terroir that enhances finesse and depth, in one of the most prestigious appellations on the right bank of Bordeaux. The balance between the two grape varieties gives structure and complexity, while maintaining a strong territorial identity.
The winemaking process involves manual harvesting followed by rigorous sorting on a vibrating table. After a cold maceration of three days, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The malolactic fermentation occurs in French oak barrels, and the total maceration duration is 22 days. This traditional approach with precise control of temperature and extraction aims to achieve a pure expression of the fruit and soil.
In the glass, this wine reveals an elegant texture with notes of ripe red fruit, sweet spices, and light toasted nuances. On the palate, it is soft and structured, with silky, well-integrated tannins, good persistence, and a balanced finish that combines warmth and freshness.
It pairs perfectly with roasted or braised meat dishes, such as oven-baked lamb or stewed beef.
