Description
What kind of wine it is
Prosecco Treviso Brut Gold Il Vino dei Poeti by Bottega is a white sparkling wine made from Glera grapes grown in the Treviso area. It stands out for its fine and persistent perlage, thanks to the Charmat Method, and for its fresh and harmonious style. Fermentation enhances aromas of white-fleshed fruit, making the wine versatile for many occasions.
Where it comes from
The Glera grapes come from the hills of the province of Treviso. The climate, with mild winters and breezy summers, fosters a balance between sugar ripeness and acidity. The area boasts a long tradition in sparkling wine production.
How it is produced
Glera grapes are harvested with an eye to quality. The secondary fermentation takes place in pressurized tanks using the Charmat Method for about 40 days at a controlled temperature of 14–15°C. This process ensures aromatic freshness and a delicate perlage.
Tasting notes
Visually, it shows a pale straw yellow colour with greenish highlights and continuous perlage. The nose delivers notes of apple and pear, alongside floral hints of acacia and lily of the valley. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with balanced acidity and a pleasant sapid note. The finish is clean, with white fruit returning and a subtle floral accent.
Food pairings
This Prosecco is ideal as an aperitif with light snacks, canapés and fish finger food. It pairs well with seafood starters, delicate first courses such as risottos or pasta with pesto, and grilled fish or white meats. It works well with typical Venetian dishes such as baccalà alla vicentina or saffron risotto, and as a base for cocktails with fresh fruit.
When to serve it
It is recommended to serve Prosecco Treviso Brut Gold well chilled in a tulip glass to enhance the perlage. It is best enjoyed young to preserve freshness and primary aromas. The golden bottle adds an elegant touch to informal dinners and convivial moments.
