Description
What kind of wine is it?
Tre di Tre di Lupo Meraviglia is a red wine from Puglia, made from Primitivo, Aglianico, and Negroamaro grapes. It reveals itself as structured and concentrated, with a fruity profile and a silky tannic texture. The saignée vinification maximizes extraction from the skins to ensure intensity. Maturation defines a mature style in which spicy notes balance the taste.
Where does it come from?
The roots of this red dwell in Puglia and are expressed in Salento. Its strong connection to Lecce is evident from the label, which depicts the iconic city emblem with a wolf and a holm oak near a traditional farmhouse. This clear geographical matrix shapes a wine with an intense and distinctive character. The territory enhances the union of these three local varieties, creating a harmonious blend in which the regional identity stands out decisively.
How is it made?
Production relies on the saignée method, an ancient technique aimed at increasing phenolic extraction. After crushing Primitivo, Aglianico, and Negroamaro, the must remains in contact with the skins but is partially separated to concentrate matter and color in the main liquid. This is followed by targeted cellar ageing that refines the contours and shapes its aromatic profile. The process provides consistency, resulting in a wine with a solid structural framework.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red color, a sign of clear concentration. The nose offers aromas of ripe fruit and jam, crossed by pleasant sweet and spicy hints. On the palate, it is structured and full-bodied, consistent with its aromatic spectrum. The taste is supported by silky tannins that are well integrated, leading to a harmonious, long, and remarkably composed finish.
Food pairings
Its decisive structure makes it the perfect partner for flavorful first courses, as it stands up well to rich sauces. It finds an ideal match alongside braised red meats, which enhance its spicy streak. The fine tannic texture perfectly complements any roast preparation, such as beef enriched by its own cooking juices. The fruity notes pair well with the intensity of more robust recipes, offering a complete and gratifying pairing.
When to serve it
This blend is excellent when you want to accompany hearty and convivial meals. It easily supports intense dishes and roasted mains, thanks to its compact sip and polished tannin. Ageing gives it an already accessible aromatic profile, but to fully enjoy it, it is recommended to serve it in large glasses. Allowing it some preliminary oxygenation helps open up the spicy and fruity notes, ensuring a bold, expressive, and always satisfying drinking experience.
