Rheingau Prädikatswein Riesling Auslese 2008 Georg Breuer

Georg Breuer's Riesling Auslese originated in Germany, precisely in the Rheingau region.

The vineyards from which the Riesling Renano grapes come are characterized by the presence of slate, silt and a particular sediment called loess. This soil profile helps to give the grapes a great minerality and to absorb the heat necessary for a correct ripening. The harvest takes place during the over-ripening of the grapes, in order to concentrate the sugars and aromatic substances present inside them, and involves a strict selection of the bunches in the plant. The result is a wine with a high quality value and a pleasant sugar perception.

At the sight it is intense and bright straw yellow. Its aroma is sweet fruity and reminiscent of apricot, candied orange peel and honey. The taste is sweet but perfectly balanced by the fresh vein. Closes in a fruity finish.

To be combined with a medium-long matured cow's milk cheese.
