Description
The Crianza wine from Portia is a red wine from Ribera del Duero made from Tempranillo grapes grown in the renowned "Golden Triangle" area, which includes the municipalities of Gumiel de Mercado, Gumiel de Izán, Sotillo de la Ribera, and Villanueva de Gumiel. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 800 and 850 meters on predominantly sandy soils, a condition that promotes elegance and aromatic intensity in the grapes.
The winemaking process involves controlled fermentations in conical vats, a technique that allows for a delicate and respectful extraction of aromas from the raw material. The wine ages for 12 months in American oak barrels, a stage that helps to provide structure and complexity while keeping the fruit at the forefront.
In appearance, it presents a bright purple color. The nose is dominated by intense aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry and plum, enriched by notes of vanilla and hints of cedar. On the palate, it is balanced and fresh, with good acidity, soft and well-integrated tannins, and a velvety texture that makes for a full and pleasant sip.
Perfectly paired with grilled meats like steak, wagyu, or ribs, flavorful dishes such as tapas with mushrooms and chorizo, grilled vegetables, aged cheeses, and dark chocolate.
