Description

Peñas Aladas Gran Reserva is the most exclusive wine from Dominio del Águila, a winery that has quickly gained acclaim from specialized critics. This wine comes from a small parcel of old vines over 85 years old located in La Aguilera, in the Ribera del Duero. The grapes used include mainly Tempranillo, with a small percentage of Bruñal and Albillo.

The bunches are pressed whole without destemming and fermented together in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. The malolactic fermentation and the long aging of 51 months take place in French oak barrels in the cool cellar vaults, allowing the wine to develop an extraordinary complexity and refinement.

Of an intense red color, Peñas Aladas seduces the nose with aromas of violet, wild berries and exotic spices. On the palate it is complex, soft and round, with chiseled tannins and an austere mineral note. It is a wine of rare freshness and elegance, characterized by excellent balance and an exuberant personality.

It pairs perfectly with hare, roast duck and roast lamb dishes.
