Rioja DOCa Crianza 2022 Marqués de Vitoria

The Crianza wine by Marqués de Vitoria is a harmonious red wine from Rioja, produced from Tempranillo grapes grown in the vineyards located between Oyón and Barriobusto, at an altitude ranging from 450 to 700 meters. The harvest takes place under favorable climatic conditions, ensuring excellent grape health, allowing for balanced wines with great aromatic intensity and excellent colorimetric indices.

Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature of 27 °C and aging involves a minimum of 12 months in American oak barrels. This process allows for a perfect integration between the fruit and the wood, enriching the wine with complexity and softness, without altering its varietal identity.

Visually, it presents with a cherry color and ruby reflections. The nose is intense, characterized by sweet wood, licorice, mature and jam-like fruits such as raspberries and strawberries, as well as pastry notes. On the palate, it is long, balanced, and voluminous, with round tannins and balanced acidity. The finish leaves memories of dried and toasted fruits.

It pairs perfectly with mushroom risottos, red and white meats, fatty fish like tuna or cod, as well as meat or vegetarian lasagnas.
