Description
Faustino V Reserva is a classic example of Rioja, made from a balanced blend of Tempranillo and Mazuelo, traditional varieties of the region. The grapes come from vineyards located in the Rioja Alavesa area, at an altitude between 420 and 600 meters, on predominantly clay-limestone soils that promote balanced maturation and good aromatic concentration.
The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place at controlled temperatures in tanks with calibrated pump-overs to optimize the extraction of aromas and structure. The wine matures for at least three years, two of which in American oak barrels and one in the bottle, to ensure a balance between freshness and mature development. This process aims to preserve the integrity of the fruit, integrating it with elegant boisé notes.
The wine displays a vivid ruby color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it reveals itself as intense and engaging, with aromas of red and black fruits blended with delicate hints of vanilla and light cocoa notes. On the palate, it shows a harmonious profile, dominated by ripe and candied fruits, with a soft texture and a well-balanced body leading to a pleasant and lingering finish.
It is ideal when paired with grilled red meats, barbecue, or roast lamb.
