Roero DOCG Riserva 2011 Massucco
Description
The Roero Riserva di Massucco was born in vineyards located in the Cuneo municipality of Castagnito, on the Roero hills. This wine represents one of the flagships of the Piedmontese company.
It is produced with pure Nebbiolo grapes, harvested by hand and immediately subjected to destemming. Fermentation takes place in horizontal winemakers with frequent steel batonnage. Subsequently the wine always matures in steel and continues its refinement in oak barriques for 24 months and in bottle for at least 6 months, where it stabilizes fantastic organoleptic peculiarities.
The Roero Riserva di Massucco has a ruby red color, tending to garnet with aging. The nose opens with a fragrant and pleasant bouquet of plum and black currant. In the mouth it is dry and full-bodied, with a delicate tannic texture.
To be consumed within 10 years, this great red is perfect to accompany noodles and risotto. Exceptional in combination with grilled red meats and game.
