Description
In the area of Piedmont that approaches the Langa del Barolo, Renesio di Malvira originates, a powerful and characterful Roero Riserva.
It consists of pure Nebbiolo grapes, coming from the Renesio vineyard where the soil is defined by a clayey and limestone profile. The harvest takes place manually in October: the grapes harvested are softly pressed and fermented in steel tanks. The wine ages in wooden barrels for 24 months and for a further 12 months in bottle.
At sight it is ruby red, but already shows some garnet reflections. The perfume is made up of dried rose petals, various spices and a trail of tobacco leaves. Closes in a light balsamic trace on the finish. In the mouth it affirms its character and its complexity, with a rightly pronounced tannin and a perfect taste-olfactory correspondence.
To be combined with a beef stew with polenta.
