Saint-Émilion AOC Grand Cru Classé 2008 Château La Couspaude
Description
The Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé of Château La Couspaude was born in vineyards located on the top of the Saint-Émilion plateau, in the heart of Bordeaux.
It is mainly produced with Merlot and Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 18-20 months in oak barrels, before being bottled.
This Saint-Émilion has an intense garnet red color. The nose opens with an intense spicy bouquet, with hints of tobacco, graphite and chocolate. On the palate it is vibrant and fruity, with dense tannins that accompany a pleasantly long and persistent finish, in which chocolate notes come overbearingly.
This red wine is perfect to accompany red meat main courses and aged cheeses.
