Description
Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is a French red wine produced by Château Tour Chantecaille, located in the Libourne area of Bordeaux. The estate is situated on clay-limestone soil, ideal for Merlot and Cabernet Franc, which are the typical blend for this prestigious denomination.
The winemaking process includes a manual selection of the grapes followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled vats and prolonged maceration; aging takes place in barrels for about 12 months, with annual renewal of part of the barrels, to ensure elegance, structure, and balance between wood and fruit.
On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of red and black fruits, ripe cherry, and plum, with delicate spicy notes, grilled herbs, and toasted almonds; on the palate, it is rich and smooth, with powdery tannins, a velvety texture, and a harmonious and persistent finish.
It pairs beautifully with game roasts or grilled red meats.
