Saint-Julien AOC 2012 Château Les Ormes

Château Les Ormes was born on a small property, only one and a half hectares, located in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, in the Haut-Médoc. The soil is typical of the Gironde, composed of marl, gravel and pebbles.

The grapes are harvested manually with double sorting, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The wine ages for 18 months in 30% new French oak barrels.

Intense ruby red in color, it shows off a complex aromatic bouquet on the nose, in which aromas of ripe black fruit, violet and empyheumatic notes, vanilla and roasted coffee are perceived above all. With the evolution, hints of game and truffles develop which supplant the woody aromas of youth. In the mouth it is flowing and generous, with very fine and elegant tannins.

Ideal in combination with red meats and feathered game. Try it in the company of a rib of beef or a grilled pheasant.
