Description
The Saint-Romain Perrière is a dry white wine produced by Marthe Henry in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. Made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the "Perrière" climat, located on high-altitude limestone soils, this wine reflects the producer's commitment to enhancing the terroir through organic farming practices and a low-intervention approach.
Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, followed by aging for at least 18 months in used oak barrels, without finings or invasive filtration, in order to preserve the wine's purity and expressiveness.
On the nose, fresh notes of lemon, white flowers and damp chalk can be detected, while on the palate, the wine offers an airy and mineral mouthfeel, with a balanced structure and elegant persistence.
Ideal to pair with fish dishes or soft cheeses.
