Salento IGT Primitivo Fiore di Vigna 2014 Paolo Leo
Description
The Salento Primitivo Fiore di Vigna di Paolo Leo was born in vineyards located between the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto, in the heart of Salento.
It is produced entirely with Primitivo grapes, harvested exclusively by hand, slightly dried, at the first hours of dawn. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C for 8-10 days, with maceration in contact with the skins for 15-18 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months in American and French oak barrels, and for another 6 months in bottle before being placed on the market.
Paolo Leo 's Vigna Flower has an intense garnet red color. The nose opens with intense and enveloping aromas of spices, enriched with hints of dehydrated fruit and cherry in alcohol. On the palate it is round and full, with a pleasantly long and fruity aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, this red wine is ideal in combination with red meats and game.
