Description
30.000 Maraveddes from Bodega Mara2fones is a red wine produced exclusively with Garnacha grapes grown in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, a mountainous area with a long winemaking tradition located in the Sierra de Gredos. The vineyards are located between 650 and 850 meters above sea level, where the granite soil and the continental climate with Mediterranean influences give the wine freshness, finesse, and a distinctive character. The wine's name recalls a local historical event: 30,000 maraveddes was the price paid in the 15th century to purchase the Se2orío de San Martín.
Winemaking begins with a manual harvest in crates. The selected bunches undergo maceration with their indigenous yeasts in French oak vats and stainless steel tanks, with manual punchdowns. Aging continues for 15 months in used French oak barrels and cement tanks, combining technical precision with respect for the identity of the territory. The wine is not filtered.
It appears with a bright ruby red color. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of fresh red fruits, aromatic herbs, and sweet spices, accompanied by mineral notes reminiscent of the original granite soil. On the palate, it is juicy and vibrant, with a good structure, smooth tannins, and a pleasant aromatic persistence recalling the fruit and Mediterranean scrub.
Ideal when paired with grilled white meats or dishes based on mushrooms and aged cheeses.
