Description
Le Bel Ouvrage by Domaine Laureau is a great Chenin Blanc from the Savennières appellation, produced from grapes grown according to the principles of organic farming. The origin parcels, Chambourcier and Devant le Moulin de Beaupréau, are characterized by sandy loam soils and subsoils of rhyolite and schist, which give the wine an extraordinary mineral depth and a refined aromatic complexity.
The grapes are harvested manually, with careful selection of the hearts of the press. Fermentation occurs without filtration, followed by 12 months of aging in barrels and an additional 6 months in ceramic vats. This process helps preserve the varietal purity, structure, and longevity, in line with the domaine's artisanal approach.
In the glass, the wine appears luminous; on the nose, elegant smoky notes, a fine mineral austerity, and hints of yellow fruit are evident. On the palate, a profound and sculpted vinosity is perceived, accompanied by a sapid texture and a beautiful bitter return that prolongs the finish, providing a sensation of persistent salivation.
Perfect when paired with delicate dishes like lobster or slightly aged cheeses.
