Description

Sicilia Catarratto Prio di Donnafugata was born in vineyards located in the Contessa Entellina estate, in the heart of south-western Sicily, the name Prio in Sicilian dialect means joy and happiness.

It is produced exclusively with Catarratto grapes, harvested in the first ten days of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14-15 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages for a few months in the same containers and for a further 3 months in the bottle, before being placed on the market.

It is characterized by a bright straw yellow color. The nose opens with a delicate bouquet of elderberry and white flowers, enriched with pleasant hints of cedar and bergamot. On the palate it is broad and pleasantly fragrant, with a long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany appetizers and fish dishes, it is ideal in combination with first courses, shellfish and vegetables.
