Description
The Nero d'Avola from the Due Sorbi winery comes from vineyards in the Catania municipality of Valverde, located on the east side of Etna.
It is the result of only Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested in the coolest hours of the day once the ideal degree of ripeness has been reached. The must is kept for a short period in contact with its skins, then sent to fermentation which lasts for 12-15 days. Subsequently the refinement takes place in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of 18-20 ° C.
Wine with a dark and intense ruby red color, it opens to the nose with complex hints, among which ripe red berry fruits predominate. On the palate it is rightly tannic and structured, characterized by an important softness.
Perfect with seasoned cheeses and grilled red meats, it does not disdain dishes based on mushrooms and game.
