Description

Baron Salvadori is a Chardonnay Riserva produced by Nals Margreid, originating from the vineyards located in Magré, around the homonymous estate, at an altitude between 220 and 350 meters above sea level. The soil, composed of calcareous gravel with a high humus content and good aeration, is exposed to the south and south-east. The Mediterranean climate of the area, influenced by the warm Ora wind coming from Lake Garda, favors the regular ripening of the grapes.

After manual harvesting, the grapes undergo gentle pressing and the must is cold settled. Fermentation takes place in small oak barrels, where the wine stays on fine lees for 12 months. This is followed by further aging in the bottle for another 2 years, which contributes to the complexity and elegance of the final product.

In the glass, it shows a straw yellow color with golden reflections and good compactness. On the nose, it expresses notes of apple, Abate pear, kiwi, and aromatic herbs, accompanied by a subtle spiciness. The sip is dense and deep, with a well-balanced acidity and persistent minerality.

It pairs excellently with broth dumplings or salmon tartare.
