Description

The Alto Adige Flora Cuvée Rosso Riserva di Girlan comes from vineyards located partly in the Cornaiano area and partly in the Bassa Atesina, on land capable of giving this Cuvée a unique character.

It is obtained with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, harvested by hand in small containers. The must is transferred by gravity into stainless steel tanks where fermentation takes place at controlled temperature for 18-20 days. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine ages for 20 months in barriques and for a further 8 months in glass before being placed on the market.

The Cuvée Flora Rosso Riserva by Girlan takes on an intense ruby red color. The nose has slight balsamic notes, which are followed by pleasant hints that recall rosemary and thyme. In the mouth it proves winy and satisfying, with a good structure.

Excellent wine to accompany roasts and game, it goes well with spicy cheeses.
