Description

Girlan's Alto Adige Pinot Noir Mazzon Trattman comes from vineyards located mainly in the Mazzon area, the cradle of great Pinot Noir wines, and from the areas of Pinzon and Cornaiano dell'Oltradige.

It comes only from Pinot Noir grapes, harvested by hand in small containers. After destemming, the must is transferred by gravity into stainless steel vats where fermentation takes place for 18-20 days. Once malolactic fermentation has taken place, the wine ages for 15 months in large oak barrels and in barrique, followed by a further period of aging in bottle for 8 months.

In the glass it takes on a ruby red color with delicate garnet reflections. The nose expresses an intense and complex perfume, with notes of cherry and ripe morello cherry. The taste is soft and delicate, with a good structure, with a remarkable final persistence.

A wine for the whole meal, it is particularly suitable to be combined with roasts, game dishes and spicy cheeses.
