Südtirol - Alto Adige St. Magdalener DOC Classico 2016 Cantina di Bolzano

The Südtirol St. Magdalener Classico of Cantina Bolzano is born in vineyards located in the classic area of S. Maddalena, S. Giustina and Leitach, in the province of Bolzano.

It is produced with Schiava and Lagrein grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand from the second half of September to the beginning of October. The vinification takes place traditionally in red, after which part of the wine ages in large oak barrels, before being bottled.

Cantina Bolzano's Südtirol St. Magdalener Classico has a bright ruby red color. The nose opens with intense fruity aromas of cherry and raspberry, enriched with floral hints of violet and rose that leave room for characteristic notes of bitter almond and marzipan. On the palate it is full-bodied, velvety and round.

Perfect to accompany appetizers and meat dishes, this red wine is ideal with first courses, cold cuts, cheeses and pizza.
