Swartland WO Secateurs Chenin Blanc 2020 Badenhorst Family Wines
Description
The Secateurs Chenin Blanc from Badenhorst Family Wine is a South African wine produced in the northern part of the Paardeberg mountain.
Low yields and granite soils ensure quality grapes. The grapes are carefully picked and squeezed regularly with intervals suitable to ensure that the must comes into contact with the mass already in fermentation. About 10% of the must is fermented in oak vats. This is followed by 7 months of aging on the lees and continuous batonnage.
Straw yellow with a great aromatic complexity on the nose with hints of honey, orange blossom, notes of flint and white pulp fruit. On the palate it is harmonious and mineral, medium-bodied and with a recognizable aromatic fragrance for a long and delicate finish.
To be paired with shellfish risotto, soft cheeses and white meats dressed with herb sauces.
