Description

Santandrea red wine is produced by Vinosìa Luciano Ercolino, a company based in Paternopoli, in the heart of Irpinia. The grapes come from vineyards located in the Paternopoli area.

It is made up of 100% Aglianico grapes, harvested at the end of October/beginning of November. The grapes are macerated for 15 days and fermented with the addition of selected yeasts in thermoregulated steel tanks. 70% of the wine is then aged in French oak barriques for 14 months, followed by at least 20 months of bottle aging.

Intense ruby red in color with garnet hues, the nose is dominated by aromas of red fruit jam, black pepper and nutmeg. The sip is dry and rich, with round tannins and a persistent finish.

Ideal in combination with baked pasta with meat sauce and tagliatelle with wild boar meat sauce.
