Description

The Passito di Zibibbo Sicily The Ecru of Firriato was born in the vineyards of the Borgo Guarini estate, located in the municipality of Agro di Trapani, in Sicily.

It is produced only from Zibibbo grapes, harvested and selected by hand partly in the first ten days of September, and partly harvested late in October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14-16 ° C for about 4 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages in bottle for 4 months before being released on the market.

Firriato's Ecru has an almost amber golden yellow color. The nose opens with elegant aromas of orange blossom honey, candied orange peel and dates, enriched with notes of canned peach and dried figs, bay leaf, lemongrass, sage and oriental spices. On the palate it is deep and balanced, with an enveloping and elegant final persistence in which the fruity and spicy hints perceived on the nose return.

Perfect to accompany dry pastries and spoon, this passito is ideal in combination with blue cheeses.
