Toscana IGT Rosso D'Alceo 2012 Castello dei Rampolla
Description
The Rosso di Alceo Tuscany of Castello dei Rampolla was born in vineyards cultivated according to the dictates of biodynamic agriculture, with great respect for the land.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested between the months of September and October, then fermented for 14 days at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C. The wine then ages in 225 liter barriques for about 12 months and, once bottled, it ages in the cellar for a further 5 - 8 months before being marketed.
D'Alceo is an impenetrable ruby red wine with violet hues. The bouquet is intense and elegant, with pleasant hints of berries and spicy notes of tobacco. On the palate it is fresh and velvety, with a long-lasting aftertaste. Overall it is a soft and incredibly elegant wine.
Perfect to accompany game-based courses, it is ideal in combination with large roasts and fine red meats.
