Description

The Albireo of Fattoria La Torre is a pure Petit Verdot that comes to life from a small portion of the Stringaio vineyard, from vines over 20 years old located in the municipality of Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca.

Harvesting is done manually in boxes in the second half of September. The must obtained from the soft pressing of the grapes ferments in steel vats for 7-10 days at a temperature of 28 ° C, followed by 10-12 days maceration in contact with the skins. After the malolactic fermentation in barrique, the wine ages for 18 months in first and second passage barriques and ages for 12 months in bottle.

Upon visual examination it reveals an intense and concentrated ruby red color. The nose is enveloped by intense sensations of blackberry and currant with toasted and spicy references. In the mouth it is well structured and savory, characterized by a harmonious and balanced sip.

It is perfect to combine with first courses and second courses of meat typical of Tuscan cuisine. It goes well with a rich platter of aged cheeses.
