Description

The Rosso Rosso Biserno of the Marchesi Antinori represents the emblem of the Biserno estate.

It is mainly produced from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, with the addition of a small quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes which give the wine complexity and intensity. The grapes after being carefully selected are harvested from late August to early October. After a destemming and soft pressing, the alcoholic fermentation of the wine takes place in stainless steel tanks for 3 - 4 weeks at 28 ° C, while the malolactic fermentation takes place for 40% in barriques and for the remaining 40% in vats 'steel. Subsequently, the wine ages for 40% in new French oak barrels for 16 months, and for the remainder in one year old barriques. The vinification ends with a further refinement of the wine for 12 months in the bottle.

Toscana Rosso Biserno is characterized by an intense red color. The nose gives warm aromas of ripe red fruits, enriched with hints of spices and freshly ground coffee. On the palate it gives a complex olfactory profile with silky tannins. This is a full-bodied wine, which thanks to its perfect tannic balance, gives a perfect finish.

It is excellent to combine with risotto with truffle and game. It is ideal to serve with aged cheeses.
